In 1996, 50 pounds heavier than she is today, Jax nervously walked into her first yoga class receiving a warm welcome and the instruction/guidance to safely and powerfully navigate the mat. For the next 24 years, Jax continued an on-again, off-again yogi.In 2014, Jax launched her group exercise instructor path teaching indoor cycling and then Crunch proprietary classes such as yoga body sculpt. It was in the yoga body sculpt classes where she learned from her students that they were getting so much more than “just a good workout.” Insomniacs were sleeping better. Nervous people were feeling calmer. Back issues were easing up. This piqued her interest to become a “legitimate” yoga instructor.She completed her 200 hour yoga teacher training certification, graduating with the spring 2020 class at Yoga108.Jax's goal as an instructor/guide is to remove the myths, fears and assumptions about yoga and to empower people to thrive on and off the mat in their life-long yoga journey.
Long Beach local and California State University at Long Beach alum, Jax took her first spin class in 2011 and was immediately hooked by the huge calorie burn and minimal impact to her body. Encouraged by peers and mentor, Jax earned her indoor cycling instructor certification from Schwinn Fitness and has been teaching ever since. She balances indoor cycling with functional training classes and yoga.Come join in the fun with Jax where time will fly, sweat will fall and goals are crushed.
Jax first discovered TRX in 2013 with Michelle Rose Fit and fell in love with the rapid adaptability to all fitness levels. TRX is a wonderful compliment to yoga with it's many pulling exercise options.

"I am a road & track cyclist. Late last year, I had my knee surgery and was on crutches for 2 months. When I was finally released by my Orthopedic Surgeon to walk and start some light spinning, I got very excited. I thought I can just jump back in on my bike and start riding again. It was a challenge both physically and mentally. I learned that ‘The Gym’ offers Spin classes and taught by my colleague Jax. I signed up right away and attended her class.
